Who I Am Doesn’t Fit in a CV

Application Frustration

Who Am I?

How can I tell you who I am on just one page?
How can a freshly printed CV, neatly formatted, show you what I’m truly capable of?
And how can I choose you—how can I know if you can offer what I need? If you’ll challenge me, stretch me, help me grow beyond what I know of myself?

How can I trust you?
And how can you trust me?
How do we trust anyone, in a world like this?

I wish we lived in a better world—one where authenticity mattered more than formatting, where connection meant more than credentials.

How do I convince you that I’m the right choice? That I’ll show up loyal, committed, and fiercely present?
That I want to fight—for you and with you—but only if we match.
Only if our beliefs align, if our values intersect, if there’s something real we can build together.

I think I match you.
Do you match me?

I want to tell you how eager I am to learn, how growth drives me.
I want to do that with you.
But I can’t fit that truth into bullet points and font sizes.

I communicate as a whole person—mind, voice, energy.
I need to see you, feel the exchange, see if there's more than what a document can reveal.

Can you make me better?
Can I grow with you?
Can I belong within you?

If we want to build something strong, we need more than forms and interviews.
We need a meeting of minds, and hearts.
We need a shared purpose.
So please—can I see you?
